Summer Break Means a Wedding by the Lake

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer

This past summer was most definitely one for the books. Not only because of the weather, but because love was in the air. You might have known her as Ms. Stephanie Rischar, but she now has a new name. On August 1st, 2015, Ms. Rischar became Mrs. Meyer.

Mrs. Meyer married Rob Meyer, a writer and editor for 3 different magazines, at Amasa Stone Chapel on the Case Western Reserve University campus. For her undergrad, Mrs. Meyer attended Case Western, adding more meaning to the wedding as a whole. “It had a little extra special meaning to be married in the chapel on campus,” Mrs. Meyer said. Mr. Meyer proposed to Ms. Rischar on June 23, 2014. He did so at a restaurant the couple attended on their very first date. When asked, Mrs. Meyer said “At first I thought he was joking… Then I saw the beautiful ring!”

After being engaged for over a year and going through the normal, stressful planning that any wedding entails, the wedding day finally came. With roughly 200 family members and friends in attendance, including many staff members and teachers from West Geauga High School, the wedding was a success. “Marriage is everything I expected,” Mrs. Meyer said. “It’s only been a little over a month, so we’re very much still newlyweds, but we are loving every minute!”

Marriage is one of the biggest, most exciting moments in a person’s life. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Meyer on their marriage. The first step for the newlyweds? Buy a house!
