Blue and White Ready to Fight

The boys varsity basketball season started out on December 12th with the season opener versus the Chardon Hilltoppers. The team has its mind set on making it deep into the playoffs this year with returning varsity players Lee Diedrich, David Wolfhope, Tim Snyder, Mike Archiable, Ben Hester, and Micah Young.

The team aspires to improve their performance on the floor this year, as well as the won – loss column, after last year’s season concluded with disappointment and a losing record. This includes holding team members accountable and with hard work. Junior player Michael Archiable said, “Our season will be like a rollercoaster. It will have its up’s and down’s, but if you show up to the games, you’ll have a thrilling ride.”

The team’s biggest rival game this year will be Chagrin Falls. Last year the boys gave their best effort but still came out with a loss. They plan to change the outcome this year.

The players encourage the fans to come out to the most exciting games, which will be both of the Chagrin Falls games and the Kenston game.

Coach Mr. John Cardiero, commenting on the season, said, “We can hopefully turn the corner and head into the right direction.”
