Girls TRACK Down Good Season

Girls TRACK Down Good Season

With the beginning of spring and warmer weather, so begins the much anticipated track season. The girls have been working hard since February to prepare for their upcoming season. So far this season the girls have had two meets. The Crestwood Track and Field Invitational was held on April 5th. The team placed eighth of eleven total teams.

On April 8th, the Lady Wolverines traveled to Independence for a tri-meet with Padua.

Their most recent meet was Saturday, April 12th at Chardon High School for the Hilltopper Invitational. Senior Audrey Rabe broke the school and News Herald all-time area record this past Saturday in pole vault. With a height of 11 ‘ 7” she took down 2005 state champ Kristen Old of Perry’s area record of 11’ 6″. Congratulations to her on this success!

The next meet is Tuesday, April 22nd at home. We wish the girls best of luck in all of their endeavors this season.
