Congratulations to the following students who have been inducted into the National Honors Society: Liam Andes, Augustus Azusenis, Joelle Baliker, Kasandra Beclay, Kirstin Boni, Rachael Brinning, Hailee Brown, Andrew Cassese, Natalie Cizek, Hailey Clapp, Katina Demarchi, Patrick Drockton, Jenna Ebersbacher, Elizabeth Fanger, Ryan Gleske, Victoria Grabinski, Daniel Hartman, David Hartman, Hillary Junglas, Kyle Kaniecki, William Kucera, Jordyn Lees, John Lutat, Lilly Makee, Alexa Manolio, Edward Marotta, Rachel McDonald, Claire Mitri, Makayla Molle, Ryan Newlon, Jacob Novak, Jack Plank, Dana Puruczky, Joseph Snyder, Kelsey Sprenger, Andrew Todaro, Anthony Vetturini, Camden Weist, Anna Yeager, Miranda Young, and Kristina Zerbe.

All West Geauga junior and senior students with a 3.35 grade point average, measured at the end of that year’s first semester, are eligible for consideration to become members of the National Honors Society (NHS).  This GPA reveals a student’s ability to maintain high levels of personal responsibility and accountability, and take the tasks set before him/her  seriously.

All NHS candidates are given forms where they are asked to document their service to the school, community, and the larger world. Supervisors and officials accumulate an overall final service score for each individual. This score is boosted for students with a higher GPA, and lowered  for students with a lower GPA.

In addition to documenting their service, all candidates are ranked by school staff in the areas of character and leadership. After being evaluated in those three areas, students are accepted into the National Honors Society.  Congratulations on your hard work!
