Select Choir Promises a MONSTER Effort

West G Select Choir to Perform at Cleveland Monsters Game

Select Choir Promises a MONSTER Effort

We went to a hockey game and a vocal performance broke out from a school’s select choir? SCORE! West G: 1, Others: 0. Come out to enjoy a night of chilling fun, supporting both your city’s hockey team and your school’s select choir on October 28th  at 1pm.

Select choir? Class Act? What are they ? Class Act is one of the 3 choirs at West Geauga, and, some believe, the most elite one. If you want to be involved, you have to audition and only a select amount of people are chosen. This year, there are 4 sopranos: Hannah Zahniser, Sarah Walkuski, Aislyn Clark and Abigail Moore. We have 4 altos, including Raeanna Cenni, Kaitlyn Magalski, Allison George, and Becca Saggio. The 3 tenors are Mark Kiec, Garrett Wineberg, and Romano DeSciscio. Lastly, but certainly not least, our 3 basses are Robin McBride, Kyle Straka, and Daniel Apsey. These 14 students meet on Monday’s and Friday’s after school to rehearse for special events and concerts. This particular event is done by Class Act because, according to chorale teacher, Mrs. Melanie Kennedy, “It’s a great opportunity to get out and perform in the community and to represent West Geauga in the Greater Cleveland Area.”

The choir performed last year, as well, after someone had reached out to Mrs. Kennedy and asked if she’d like to present a choir to sing. Of course, she accepted—and hopes that Class Act gets the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at an Indians or Cavs game, as well, in the near future!

To support our choir, buy your tickets now through Mrs. Kennedy—they cost 45% less when you go through the choir than “at the door !” It is $11 per ticket if you buy one from Mrs. Kennedy and $20 at the door. Act quickly, though, as tickets are no longer available through the choir after THIS FRIDAY! Follow this link… https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1bPfMv-UR3Wb1pQRjhHZ0h5YzI5MmtraEVQMk00ejVXcUxJ/view

If you miss this opportunity, though, there are more chances to see your choirs perform—coming up fast is the Winter Concert on November 30th, featuring pieces such as “Hallelujah,” “O Come Emmanuel,” and “Hail Holy Queen” from Sister Act. There is also a candle lit processional!

Come out and support your West Geauga choirs!
